Bang Bang Sauce

  • In the meantime, prepare the bang bang sauce.
In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of avocado oil.  Then add the minced or finely chopped garlic and sauté until lightly golden. Next add red chili flakes and 2 tbsp of coco aminos to the pan, mix all ingredients, cover the pan with a lid and remove from the heat.

  • Next, remove the roasted Brussels sprouts from the oven, transfer them into a mixing bowl, add the bang bang sauce and toss together.
  • Finally, transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle some toasted sesame oil (optional), top with sesame seeds and fresh parsley or cilantro and serve!

Notes

  • If the Brussels sprouts are very large, I recommend quartering them.
  • Arrange the Brussels sprouts evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet and make sure they do not overlap.
  • Toss the Brussels sprouts half-way through the roasting time to ensure they brown on both sides.
  • Remember to adjust the spiciness to your liking. Even a pinch of red chili flakes can make these Brussels pretty "banging".
