These Delish Bang Bang Brussels will keep you and your guests coming for seconds! They are roasted to perfection in the oven and tossed in a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce. An easy-to-make appetizer or a side dish for any occasion!
Prep the Brussels sprouts by washing them, trimming the ends and cutting in half.
In a large bowl, combine halved Brussel sprouts and avocado oil and mix until evenly coated.
Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in an even layer and roast for 25 min.
Bang Bang Sauce
In the meantime, prepare the bang bang sauce. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of avocado oil. Then add the minced or finely chopped garlic and sauté until lightly golden. Next add red chili flakes and 2 tbsp of coco aminos to the pan, mix all ingredients, cover the pan with a lid and remove from the heat.
Next, remove the roasted Brussels sprouts from the oven, transfer them into a mixing bowl, add the bang bang sauce and toss together.
Finally, transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle some toasted sesame oil (optional), top with sesame seeds and fresh parsley or cilantro and serve!
Notes
If the Brussels sprouts are very large, I recommend quartering them.
Arrange the Brussels sprouts evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet and make sure they do not overlap.
Toss the Brussels sprouts half-way through the roasting time to ensure they brown on both sides.
Remember to adjust the spiciness to your liking. Even a pinch of red chili flakes can make these Brussels pretty "banging".
